There’s a Reason

There’s an unspoken rivalry among us truckers where everyone tries to outdo the other by being first to arrive in the yard, get loaded, then do an East-coast-turn-around quick! So today, I was a little pissed to be the one left behind. I was sat on the driver’s seat, engine running, it’s sunny, coffee’s hot, but I was gloomy. Suddenly, the engine screeched and gurgled! What?? The serpentine belt broke and loosened! If I was on the road, all sorts of bad things could have happened! So, thanks - I was the one LEFT BEHIND!!😂
